Garbage

Heaps of garbage could be seen everywhere in the city having over 200,000 people. Several diseases had broken out due to poor sanitation in the city, especially during the rainy season. TMA sweepers did not clean the roads and streets properly. “Some of them remain absent from their duty, while several others perform their duties at private places,” . Dirty water overflowed in the areas, including Mission Compound, Afshan Link Road, Mohallah Raiwala, Daska Kalan, College Road, Mohallah Hajipura and Jamke Road.

The MC have 10 supervisors, 206 sanitary workers, four trolleys, nine tractors, 10 containers and two vehicles. There is no proper place to dispose of the solid waste. The TMA workers dumped the solid waste along the main roads. The TMA had purchased 96 kanals for disposing of the solid waste in 2006, but the land was still unused. Owing to poor sewage, the low-lying areas of the city have turned into ponds, becoming a breeding ground for contagious diseases.

As you all knew, I belong to a benevolent family. I Usman Khalid and my father  Alhaj. Baba G khalid Mehmood Makki Madni had always tried to bring the ease in the lives of NA-75’s people. We are paying the salaries of sanitary workers from our pocket yet, we are not on any government position.

But the fact  is, we can’t do this alone. We need your cooperation in terms of your support. On conclusion, I promise you all to bring and provide all the necessary facilities to our city and its citizen’s doorstep.
